2006 was another successful year for Manchester Food and Drink Festival . October saw the biggest profile of events taking place in the city centre as well as the fringe Festivals of North and East Manchester, Chorlton, and we are proud to say, in 7 Greater Manchester Cities and Boroughs.
The city became alive with hundreds of restaurants taking part with themed menus and events, as well as the city centre being taken over with a range of events from an Urban Harvest Festival to a Producers Market, and for the first time the MFDF Taste of Manchester Pavilion. For 10 days in October the people of Greater Manchester and beyond were treated to taster menus, special offers, locally sourced menus, wine tastings, theme nights, cooking demos and talks and many more fun and exciting activities for all to enjoy.
Preperation has already begun for 2007, when we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary. Building upon the success of the past 9 years 2007’s Festival aims to be even bigger and better, with even more inner city presence and a more varied celebration of Manchesters Food and Drink Scene.
Keep checking the website for more details of 2007 and whet your appetite with the events that took place in 2006.
